Connecting the Unconnected
In an increasingly connected world, Neiglobe is pioneering a revolution in local internet connectivity. Our innovative Vicino system ensures that even the most remote communities stay connected without relying on traditional internet infrastructure.
Local Internet Without Internet
Vicino provides a localized cloud system that functions independently of conventional internet connections, making it possible for communities to access critical services and information even during disruptions.
Internet Disruptions
Natural Disasters
From earthquakes to tsunamis, natural disasters can cripple traditional communication networks. Vicino ensures that communities remain connected, allowing for timely communication and access to essential services.
Manmade Disasters
In the face of manmade disruptions like conflicts and infrastructure failures, Vicino stands resilient, providing a reliable communication backbone for affected areas.
Internet Censorship
Vicino circumvents internet censorship, empowering communities with uncensored, local access to information and communication tools.
Enabling Local Communities
For Unconnected
Vicino bridges the digital divide, offering robust connectivity solutions to unconnected communities, ensuring they have access to vital communication and information services.
For Tourism
Enhance the tourist experience with localized connectivity, providing visitors with seamless access to local information, maps, and communication tools, ensuring they stay informed and safe.
For Education
Vicino revolutionizes education by providing reliable, local internet-like environments, enabling uninterrupted access to educational resources and online learning platforms.
Proof of Physical Presence
Vicino’s unique system includes features for proof of physical presence, ensuring security and authenticity in various applications, from disaster response to local governance.
Standards Compliance ITU-T L.392
Vicino is compliant with the ITU-T L.392 standard, which is essential for disaster management and network resilience. Approved in April 2016, ITU-T L.392 focuses on improving network resilience against disasters and aiding network recovery. It introduces the concept of Movable and Deployable ICT Resource Units (MDRUs), which are collections of ICT resources packaged as portable units. These units can be rapidly deployed to substitute damaged network facilities and meet the increased communication demands in disaster-affected areas. By adhering to ITU-T L.392, Vicino ensures that it meets the highest international standards for reliability and performance in disaster situations (ITU Online).
